We are delighted to welcome Peter Duignan, a highly respected PGA Teaching Professional, to Cavan Golf Club.
Peter brings with him a wealth of experience, cutting-edge teaching tools, and a deep passion for helping golfers of all levels reach their potential.
Peter Duignan – Career Snapshot
Peter is currently the resident PGA Teaching Professional at County Longford Golf Club. His journey in professional golf began with a five-year apprenticeship at Portmarnock Golf Club under the legendary Joey Purcell, qualifying as a PGA Professional in 1999.
He went on to become Head Golf Professional at Charlesisland Golf Club, a role he held for six years, before continuing to develop his teaching expertise and coaching reputation.

Peter is known for his clear, practical, and results-driven coaching style. He has designed bespoke programmes for all ages and skill levels, focusing on both the technical and mental sides of the game.

Lesson Availability & Services
Peter will be available:
- Two evenings per week
- One day every weekend

Golf Equipment & Pro Shop
Peter will be placing a carefully selected range of golf accessories and essential equipment behind the bar, making it easy and convenient for club members to purchase quality items directly from the clubhouse. This will include everything from gloves and balls to tees and training aids .
In addition, Peter will open the Pro Shop during the Christmas season, where members can browse a selection of premium golfing equipment, apparel, and accessories. This will provide great gift ideas for golfers of all ages and abilities — whether you’re treating yourself or shopping for the golfer in your life.
